I was going through a rough time in 2019. I had lost one of my jobs, and was worried about making ends meet. Then out of nowhere a friend of mine reached out about painting a portrait of their boyfriend's dog. I was happy to take on the mutually beneficial project. She sent me a photo and shared her ideas. 2 weeks later her gift was ready. She was so excited that she gave him the gift early. She told me that her boyfriend cried when he opened his gift. This is why I love painting pet portraits. Making something for people that they will truly love is an incredible feeling.
